Did the upgrade to 1.0.7.7 and have a few problems.
After the reboot I tried test alarm and kept getting
"please Wait' . Now I just tried it again and got a popup
saying "The wakeful server is down, please try again later".

Also I when set the alarm and it went off, I didn't get the popup
to shut off the alarm or snooze when it playing

Well, I deleted Wakeful, rebooted, then installed the just released update, and rebooted again. End result: I have the notifications icon, but when I ran a test alarm, all the way to the ebd (still getting a kick out of the April Fools day message), my Bold still locked up. I could not clear the OK/SNOOZE popup. Had to do another reboot to clear it.

    Another log on it's way...

I just got the e-mail with the new version (v1.0.7.7) and installed it and I can see the notification icon now

The first run after the update went well, but now it's stuck at the "communicating with server" screen.........I think we crashed your servers again

By the way, it looks like this update is now reading out the city or did I not notice this before?

    Update
Yup, I'm pretty sure we crashed the servers as I'm now getting the "Wakeful server is down" message.

I just registered. I have a 9670 (style). I hope I can test this. Sounds really cool if it is reliable.

Wasn't expecting the special treat this morning. That was clever.

Just loaded the update without any issues.
However when I tested the alarm setting I got the server msg.
    Will try again later.

    Good Luck

+1 Downloaded, but can't test due to server being down. This is getting old. I'd love to get a version and servers that work reliably.

    Downloaded update, cheers

It does not seem to recognize my password,

    But......

Noticed it does mention my Town, Lytham St. Annes, NICE, & its in Celsius, not Fahrenheit which is also good.

So it would seem all is good, thank you.

After the alarm finishes speaking, is the "Turn Off/Snooze" prompt supposed to disappear? Mine doesn't (perhaps that's why my Bold 9650 "freezes" after the alarm plays).

I successfully downloaded the new version last night.
Unfortunately it didn't go off this morning.
Had it set for 7 am.
When I got up at 7:45 am, the first thing I did was to test the alrm and it worked.
    Disappointed.

Mine when off at the scheduled time this morning. I had kind of a funny issue, or maybe its an unannounced enhancement. I have the male voice set. When the alarm first went off it was the female voice waking me up (maybe it was still reading an old setting). When I hit snooze the alarm went off again 5 minutes later but this time it was the male voice.

Works great. The icon is great on the notification bar for the torch and it keeps running smoothly. Great work.

Mine too didn't go off this morning and I downloaded the new update yesterday. The previous one worked like a charm. This one not so good. Please fix.

Is it possible to add an option to disable the menu bar icon?

I personally would rather it not be there..

Several times I've found that even when I test the alarm and it gets hung up on connecting to server or "server down," if I set the alarm for a few minutes later, it goes off just likes it's supposed to. The only time I "test" the alarm is to force it to go off to show it off to friends.

So it's working for some people and others it's not. Really wish I didn't download the new version. So I just removed the app. There's no point if it's not going to do what it's supposed to do.

Well since my didn't go off this morning as I indicated in a post above, I'm gonna have to set the BB alarm to go off 5 mins later as a backup until I have a higher confidence level.

Maybe I will have to do that permanently since you never know if the sever's gonna be down. I mean things happen. Even with proven apps like BerryWeather - sometimes their sever is down.

    Stil love the app.

    Good Luck
