no you dont need to rebuy it if you get another phone. you just switch your PIN number and it gives you another activation code for the weather app to use
no, battery life for me anyway doesnt affect the phone running berryweather. I have it update every 15 minutes as well
+1 for berryweather... I got it updating every hour though... I love it!!! ANd I got mine free from blackberrycool...
I use free weatherEye. Nothing super fancy but it works ok.

You can try instantWeather.
Double convenience key clicks from any other app and from Home Screen, gives you 5 days weather forecast (in less than a second), triple click gives you animated radar image of your city (if you live in US), 4 and 5 times click launches two application of your choice.
It is light (only 54KBytes) and it does NOT run in the background.
It has a fully functional trial version on mobihand. Full version costs 2.99$

weathereye is pretty awesome for a free app
Depends on your needs. I tried various weather apps and thought I would never pay for one.I tried Berryweather and I was done looking for weather apps. IMO best weather app out. It is pricey but there are frequent sales and yes you can transfer the license to a new device
Another fan of BerryWeather.
I personally noticed battery drain when I had it updating every half hour, but at 1.5 hours, it was completely tolerable. If I needed it updated prior to the 1.5 hours, it can be manually updated.
I like berryweather because I can put the weather icon in the notifications bar. That's really cool for just a quick look at what the temperature is.

BerryWeather. It does go on sale, just picked it up for 6.99 for my wife. I think that sale is over though. Great app, very customizable, and doesn't kill the battery.
berryweather. sometimes its on sale for 4.99
I'm a fan of BerryWeather. I've tried all the free weather apps and I have to say that BerryWeather is the best looking and most accurate of them all. You can save a few bucks if you wait for it to go on sale but until then try the free version. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles as paid but it is alot nicer to look at than any other weather app.
