I use Patternlock by Tafasa and the native password lock. Locked solid.

No, no crash. Patternlock is set to lock upon holstering and I can also activate it by hitting the top button. Native password is set to lock after an hour.

4 numbers. Uses the touch screen or keypad.

Have choice of slide or drag to unlock screen, or direct unlock

The only problem with PatternLock is that it is not fully secured. If you have really sensitive data, this app will delay someone from getting into the phone, but it will not prevent it like the native password lock.

If you have access to app world, type "lock" in search and you will come across several apps.

for securing data i use where's my phone, to prevent if someday i lost my phone somewhere.
