    Hi guys,

Have had the 9700 for about a month now, love it. Need to expand the functionality tho. I know a Twitter app is in the development stages by RIM but are there any free substitute apps that work well for the 9700?

I'd use the Browser but an app would be epic,

    Cheers for the replies,
    Michael

Best control : form function > Uber Twitter, no questions
Prettiest and pretty much useless > Twitter for Blackberry.

Ive been using the RIM Twitter client for over a month and really like it. I switched from Uber, and have not gone back.

Yup. Uber allows editing of re-tweets and @selections and doesn't miss tweets

Ubertwitter is nice but ui bores me to death. Tweetgenius is what I use.

I am a big fan of Vodafone's free "Vodafone Update" app, which you can use regardless of your carrier.

    (Vodafone Update - BlackBerry)

I've used ubertwitter (paid), tweetgenius, and twitterberry, but always came back to this one. It's pretty basic, but I like the interface and it's snappy. I've used it for months and have never noticed a memory leak or significant battery drain.
