Txtlater is free in blackberry appworld for a limited time. Poynt and Google maps is a good combo for finding venues/navigation. Vodafone Update is good at keeping track of Facebook and Twitter in one app. I can't post any ota links cuz I'm currently on my bb. Sorry.

The "best five" apps would depend on what your lifestyle is . . .

I like Evernote (Free), Google Maps (Free), Google Apps Suite (Free), Worldmate (Free), BerryBuzz. Viigo (an RSS aggregator comes installed on 9000).

I like BlackBerry App Store (Free), UberTwitter (if you tweet), BlackBerry Messenger 5 (Free) if you know others with a BlackBerry phone and Palringo to Chat on multiple platforms.

Many more out there. Have fun!

Google Maps. I like being asked "Do you know where [destination] is?", and answering "No.. but my phone does!".

Haha, it's pretty awesome. Especially when you're saying it to someone that doesn't have/can't have GMaps on their phone.
