OperaMini is the only other one that know of...
I didn't know Bolt was gone. I used to use that on my 9630 and liked it. I use Opera Mini on the 9650. Works well also. Not as good as Bolt in my opinion.
+1 for OperaMini. I also use Quick Search with Google.

Just point your BB browser to m.opera.com and Opera Mini will detect your BB phone model and an OTA download link for Opera Mini 6.5 mobile browser will appear. Much better than Bolt IMO and OperMini now has a column view option for viewing. ;)
I'm gonna miss it. Use it often on my Storm2 to access my bank's website. Their mobile version doesn't let me transfer funds between different checking accounts with the BB browser or Opera. Bolt allowed me to do this. Holding off upgrade for the BB10 Nevada.
The message says prevents a free service going forward. Maybe there will be a pay service?
I know that with OS7 the native browser IMO is more than adequate. With my old BB Bold 9000, without Bolt the web experience was awful with the native browser.
Opera Mini is pretty good.

I used to use Bolt on my 9700 all the time but since switching to the 9900, I installed Bolt to see how it compared with the stock browser and it is truly awful. For myself, the need for Bolt is gone. The only way I'd use it or another browser is if it would support flash.
I used this browser frequently when I was on OS5 and it was great, but since upgrading to a 9930, I haven't had any use for it.
The only time I used Bolt were for the few sites that would refuse to give me the option for full desktop version on either Opera or the native browser (using OS 6). Using Bolt always gave you the desktop version of any site no matter what. Guess that will no longer be available. Even though I may have only needed it a few times a month, it was nice to know that the option was there when I needed it.
Its a shame to see it. I used it alot when I had my curve. oh well. opera mini is always there.:(
I will truly miss Bolt. It was one heck of a great browser besides opera mini. RIP.
I use it when there is no option to open a link in the native browser. I also have fond memories of using it as my sole browser. OS6 native is much better than OS5 native, but when I encounter an issue I like to go to Bolt and it usually loads up properly when the native browser is flaking out on me.
I wonder if they will provide a paid option?
Opera mini refuses to work on my Storm2. It won't scroll, nor will it open any web pages that didn't come in the speed dial. So with the loss of Bolt I guess my web days are over until I can afford to get my new 9850 OS7 touch screen.:(
Bolt was awful on Storm2. Everything about Storm2 was awful.
Install nothing, the native browser is best.
I had both Opera Mini and Bolt on my 9780, and would use both pretty much equally. Bolt for its speed and ease of use, and Opera to view sites I had bookmarked or visited recently on my computer. I guess now I'm stuck with Opera, which I'll admit is not bad to use, but, still, it ain't no Bolt.
Also hoping for a possible paid option.
Won't you still be able to use bolt if its still installed on your phone?just no more updates. I certainly hope so as I have a lot of bookmarks and it would be a real pain to copy them to another browser, plus opera mini doesn't work right on some of the sites I visit regularly. Bolt uses Bolt's servers to render the page. If they shut off the servers, you won't be able to surf with Bolt any more. You could still open the app and copy your bookmarks to another program, however.
I am sad to see Bolt go as well. I just can't seem to get the hang of Opera Mini, but that's mostly because I don't really want to. I miss the simplicity of Opera Mini 4 (or 3?), when it had the list of bookmarks. Now, it just seems too bulky, and it's a little frustrating navigating the options, so I delete it pretty much as soon as I download it.
How do you copy the bookmarks?
Unless you mean one at a time
Thanks
On my old 8330 as well..Opera Mini is a disaster after moving to O/S 5.xxx. Time for a new phone (Maybe Torch 9810) with a better native browser - and piped to my new Playbook :)
I downloaded this browser a couple days ago. I like it better than Bolt. It took a little getting used to for entering info, but it displays bigger and feels a little more like a desktop browser to me. See uzardweb.com.
Weird how the home page just continually refreshes on my browser. Have you tried this on a 9900? It doesn't list it as being supported.
