Try alt, right shift, h key all held down at the same time to bring up the help screen. There is a battery percentage there.

    +1 for MeterBerry.

Been using it for years and have never noticed it to impact battery life.

How do you guys have TinyMeter installed? It says it's not available for our devices. I used to use meterberry on my 9700, but can't be bothered to install it on my 9900. It also hasn't been updated in over a year.

If you just want battery percentage SmartBindie will display the exact percentage in the indicator bar or whatever.

Meterberry can do this is well and as a lot more in-depth. But SmartBindie is only $0.99 so if that's all you need, there's a pretty good option.

+1 for MeterBerry, unless you are on 7.1, MB is great on my 9810 (.585), but for some reason blocks outgoing voice transmissions on the 9900 running 7.1. I may downgrade to .590, AT&T blocked hotspot.

meterberry isn't updated for quite a long time but it still works.
apart from the logs in options that are getting stuck..
I don't expect much has changed in terms of reading information from the OS and presenting it in a log format...so there's probably no real reason for an update. If it ain't broke....

I have also noticed that the MeterBerry logs lag (say that fast ) but the issue resolves if I clear all prior entries.
