I think it all depends on what you want to do.
For customizing notifications BeBuzz is awesome.
Sports - ScoreMobile
Google maps
QuickLaunch
For speech to text Vlingo is the best. Even the free version works great for quick web searches and is better than the default voice dailing.
OneTouchFlashlight
Personal Assistant is great for keeping track of upcoming bills, i.e.-phone, elec., cable, etc. as well as easy access to bank account balances.

It depends on what you're looking for. Some of my favorite apps are Quicklaunch, BerryWeather, Poynt, Scoremobile, BerryPopup and Pandora. BerryBuzz is also a very popular app.
