When I apply a new software configuration to the Bold 9780, it removes all the social media apps like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Social Feeds, etc. I am using this config to push out one of our own apps plus GMail. BES 4.2 sp7 for Groupwise. It pushes our apps out no problem but removes the existing social media apps on the device. If I set Application Software to Disallowed but Allowed for my apps that's when the problem happens. Otherwise if I have both set to allow, then it doesn't remove the Social apps but users can then freely download any app since it has to be allowed in the IT Policy. I also have tried putting a check mark next to Series Software and check marks next to all the social apps. I just want to be able to push these our apps out without removing anything else.
