Thought I'd jump over here, tried couple of days on their forum no response, oh well . Probably should have come here first Here goes......

Been using about a week Great App! Only problem i have is getting advisories I've checked, unchecked filters double checked all settings still seem not too be able to receive them. Sure it's probably something I may be doing.

    Should add
Bold 9000 4.6 AT&T Set up as 2g only (3g really flaky up here )
    not using berrypopup
There have been least 4 major advisories in last 5 days have not received any and using zip 80439

    Thanks again

I added your location and will see if I get advisories. Under Settings, Weather Advisories, I have checked "Notify on New Advisory." I have Show Popup checked, but I don't have BerryPopup. I had "Notify for Home Location Only" checked, but I have unchecked that for this test. Under Advisory Filter, I have all advisory types checked.

I'll post here if I get any advisories for your location.

Could be worse. For atleast 5 days last week I was getting the same advisory even though it had expired.

The best response I heard about this is that wherever the advisories are comming from isn't cleaning them out when they expire so they get resent. Was happening to me for a few days then finally stopped. Good luck with the bellshare website. I seem to keep getting skipped when I post my problem about my gps location

I don't know enough about what feeds their Advisories? If it depends on local "mom and pop" weather stations, it might be that they don't support advisories. If there is a tie-in between weather stations and some "zip code or other" database, then there might be a link to main weather station advisories.

I'm still waiting for my query on Bellshare to be answered (well, I really am not - they are not known for their customer services, to be sure)

That's odd. I have "Hurricane Force Wind Watch" between "Tropical Storm Warning" and "Lake Wind Advisory." I don't have anything about Blizzards in my list. I do have "Winter Storm Watch" and "Winter Weather Advisory." And I just realized I don't have anything about Tornadoes. The advisory list seems a little lacking. I'm going to call this to the attention of one of their beta testers.

Also there was advisory issues last week or so.. They kept replicating. But this issue has been addressed and fixed as far as I know.

I have version 2.2.01 for OS 4.7. It's odd that I don't have alerts for thunderstorm warnings or tornado warnings.

I live in Ohio and would LOVE to see a Severe Thunderstorm/Warning in the Advisory Filter. I find it very odd and strange that it is NOT LISTED in my Advisory filter list.

I wonder if the alerts aren't listed so they can't be unchecked. I know on the NOAA weather radio certain alerts aren't listed so they can't be disabled, such as tornado warnings. I certainly do hope I can get tornado alerts and severe thunderstorm warnings, I live in tornado alley. Otherwise I wasted my money!

That's a very plausible explanation. If that's what they're doing, then listing the missing watches and warnings with no check box would clear up the confusion.

Confirmation on this sure would be nice!! Bellshare needs to clarify this OR ADD THESE ADVISORIES to the advisory filter list!!

I did receive an alert for a tornado watch today so I am assuming that you will get alerts for the major items not listed. However I would like to see it listed with no way to uncheck as mentioned earlier as well. I would certainly feel better about it.

I just received a severe thunderstorm warning (which is not listed) for 60084, possibilty of walnut sized hail and 70mph gusts...whoo hoo!

My point was that I did receive an alert for it...I'm guessing its covered under hazardous weather, or like others have said, its an automatic notice.

    Hi John v

Thanks for the information. I'll just have to wait and see. I use a weather program on my pc called Weather Watcher and I always get severe thunderstorm/warnings when the NWS issues them. Time will tell with BW.

I would hope they do have Thunderstorms/Tornado Warnings.
I live in Kansas and so quite frequently we get those warnings and watches here and I was about to post a question until I found this thread.
Last night though I did get an advisory telling me of severe hail, wind and thunderstorm watches so I do think it is pre-programmed and they don't want you to check it off (even though, why would you want to check off hurricanes?)
