Is there a difference between these two apps? They look exactly the same, but are named different. Is one better than the other? Or did someone just mess up and name post it with the wrong name?

As the two previous posters said, they are both the same app. Any build from 3.X.X and below is StormSlider and any build from 4.X.X. is now called BerrySlider. The name was changed since DMG made some of his storm only apps available to other BBs and the Berry part distinguishes which can be used on those devices.
