Whenever I use bbm it wont let me open the chat.i can only use it from the menu,when i click on the chat it is blank. help! how do i fix this?

Battery pull? Uninstall-reinstall? Has it ever worked or it is a new BB?

I can't see what device you're using because I'm on my BlackBerry but here is how to uninstall anyway...

In OS 6.0: Go to Options, Device, Application Management. Find BlackBerry Messenger, cliick it and then choose to Delete.

In OS 5.0: Go to Options, Advanced Options, Applications. Find BlackBerry Messenger, click it and choose to Delete

After it's uninstalled, if it didn't prompt you to reboot, than do so now. Otherwise, if it did, then BBM again. You can get it from BlackBerry App World at this link -->. http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/3729

After you have successfullly re-installed BBM. Make sure to do a battery pull for good reason!
