I disabled organizer access for the Skype client installed on my 9930 and it apparently crashed and froze my 9930. Needs a battery pull to recover.

But when I looked for a fresh copy of the Skype client I found its been silently discontinued. Cant find it anywhere, and theres no way to download OTA on the device. m.skype.com from the device only gives you the Windows desktop download option, no mobile clients available. Blackberry Appworld wont show it, gone there, too.

Whats more puzzling is that no one on Crackberry appears to have noticed (except me?).

Also, seems that a few Skype users found that updating the device firmware to .991 (same one Im running now) killed their Skype client, too. Interesting coincidence that the .991 update also killed Wi-Fi, made Bluetooth unstable with frequent headset disconnects, and frequent BIS and RIM network disconnects.

Wow really? Have you tried to contact Skype support or BB World support?

You must be joking. None of those groups are reachable.
