I understand there is an update to the BB Protect which now shows on App World (on my PC) as Version: 1.0.10.50.
However I have not had any notifications of an update as I already have version 1.0.10.25 and when I go to App world on my device it still shows 1.0.10.25.
Additionally when I try to log in via the website using my BB ID - the download that comes up is only the .25 version.
One further item is that on my account shown on the web - this shows some apps as uninstalled, yet there are installed on my device.
I'm running a Bold 9780 and I too noticed the same thing as you did regarding the BB Protect versions. Was strange to me that visiting the site via my laptop, I was able to see the update, whereas going to the EXACT same link on my phone led me to the version I already had installed.

It's no problem whatsoever. I'm actually going to try seeing if the updated version shows up now. Did it a couple times yesterday, but to no avail. Hopefully it works this time.
Same issue for me. I even tried the alt+rst method but to no avail. All that happened was my phone locked up...but that may have been because I failed to hold the alt key throughout the code type. Bad thumb!
