Is there any way to back up my device once the app error 523 has occured?

hey bubba, I went thru this just over the last two days with mine. Somehow it updated to .313 and killed the 523 error code. I did get back to .214 with no problems but now I cannot use the Wifi even though it has been set up properly.

To answer your question the way I did it was just a wipe and clean then reinstall .214... then hard boot and commenced setting up phone again. I am just stumped on why SMS/MMS and Wifi are hosed ....

I had the same problem. Application error 523, so I went ahead and upgraded my app to .313...I had to reinstall some of my apps, because I lost them during the upgrade. Now my phone has very weak signals inside a structure (building, house, etc.) If I walk outside, my signal would improve...all other phones have full bars. What is going on with my bb? Antenna or should I also go back down to .214?
