    I got this app:

Compass - Travel BlackBerry Apps - Crackberry BlackBerry Apps Store

It's AWESOME! Very accurate and a sweet app to play with. $2.99 is a steal, on sale from $4.99. Check it out! I keep seeing some posts asking for a compass app, this is the best there is. I recommend it!

Yeah but with the Storm2's memory it's not an issue. I think it's pretty cool and it's VERY accurate and also works great walking. So if your out in the woods lost, it works great.

Based on your recommendation, I purchased this app and it is very appealing to the eye...did you have to do a battery pull to get it to work? Mine keeps telling me to move as the GPS position is 0? All permissions are to allow...any thoughts? Thanks

Interesting... How does this application work without a magnometer? Or does the Storm2 come with one?

It's all GPS based which is why (I should have mentioned this I suppose) need to be moving for the compass to work. Standing still shoots it back to default position. I was walking around the yard a bit testing it out and it worked great while walking, and in the car.

I just thought it was a cool app and worthy of $3. Was surprised how accurate it was while walking or driving though. Was always dead on.

Pretty cool app - saw the light version awhile back, but decided to wait on the full app. They did a great job with it!

I just purchased this not really thinking about how it works. After installing it I realized it uses the GPS. Is there a charge from Verizon for using this? I don't have VZ NAV activated.

    Thanks

I use Blackstar, free in BB Appworld. It has a compass plus waypoint marking and tracking. Also useful for finding car in large parking lots.
