Hey guys I just got a Blackberry Flip 8220 from a buddy to use. I recently sold my iPhone and when I got it last year I added the T-Mobile Total Internet package which at the time was only 19.99, well, they seem to have upped it to 34.99 but I still pay the cheap price because I never upgraded. If I upgrade to the BlackBerry plan and switch back, I would have to pay the extra 15 a month, they will not match the 19.99...So for now, I want to keep it at that, every phone I have used so far usually accepts my data plan but the BB tells me I need a BB plan. Anyway to use the apps on this thing without having to switch to the BB data plan? note that the browser works, but apps like Facebook tell me I dont have a BB plan...

From what I understand, you need to have the bb plan to use most of the 3rd party apps.

..as in cahoots with wireless providers. Too many 3rd Party (and BB) programs require the data plan - it costs you and pays them. Mostly makes nonsense of the benefits of wi-fi on the devices.

Sometimes, I long for my old Palm TX...
