    I have downloaded several apps now including Facebook and others. When I go to the advanced settings and apps, they are showing up. When accessing the Apps section where the shortcuts are they are not showing up. Can someone help me out?

    Have you tried rebooting or performing a battery pull on your phone?

    I have done a hard reset as well as looked in my Downloads folder, but there is nothing there.

    There's no downloads folder on the 83xx series.

    Make sure the apps you download are compatible with your device - and the OS on your device - some apps won't work with 5.0 on a 83xx device. If the icons aren't showing up, that's a good sign they aren't. Delete the ones that aren't showing up - after looking in your folders for them.
