- All apps use battery power. To avoid using apps defeats part of the
purposefun of having a smartphone.
The trick is finding apps that are efficient and use the least amount of your battery power. Also, you need to exercise good management of your apps -- being careful to close them when finished with them.
If you see an app you think you like, run a search on CB forums and reviews. You'll find a lot of feedback to help you decide.
~Hope this helps. ~ecm06-12-12 11:58 PMLike 0 - Could well be.
I remove all weather apps (use a online page now).
Removed battery monitoring apps
Removed network usage apps
Removed screen lock / app lock apps
Removed home screen information apps (like also weather pushed to the homescreen).
I check in the options/phone/apps which apps are using more CPU usage then necessary. Remove those.
Even some theme using CPU more than needed/wanted.
Make sure you are in a BIS environment. If this service is out of order, the phone is eating battery.
At first i used 1 day of battery. Needed to charge every night.
I doubled this only need to charge once every 2-3 days.

Through it all though, I stay with my weather app because I use it often.06-13-12 09:25 AMLike 0 -
I also get an email with the weather each early morning.
So no need for a weather app.
Myself kept a AppLock app from the beginning. I needed this to secure my specific app. But afterwards, this was just the cause of a big major battery usage and cpu usage.
After 6 month i found this, and the phone was faster and smoother right away.
Some apps are just made wrongly.06-13-12 09:55 AMLike 0 - Where do you setup the email for weather?
Have you tried the m.accuweather.com site. It's brilliant for mobile viewing.

No I haven't tried m.accuweather.com yet, I'll look into it. I've heard about it before.
