I am traveling worldwide...

I'd like to get service + application (can also be a website or all via email) that will let me send and receive SMS worldwide

this service provider would thus need to issue me a my own telephone number at which I would receive SMS

There must be something out there!

notes:
* Google Voice for blackberry (blackberry application or all can be done via email) works perfectly but it's limited to sending SMS to USA # only)
* I have worldwide data via Verizon and they charge $0.50 to send and $0.50 to receive

Please help...
