    If RIM is smart they won't only offer free apps, but TRIALS of paid apps as well... It'll prevent people from downloading cracked apps, a la iPhone

    I think it might become like Apple's app store, in the sense it'll be the one and only place you can download apps

    If that's the case, I like that. I don't like googling and searching on all kinds of websites for apps

    Wow, $2.99 is the minimum amount for a paid app? That is so stupid. Why can't a developer charge $.99? I'm really upset about this. Apple has a successful app store, why not just emulate that? I'll probably be sticking to crackberry for my games and apps. They don't have a $3 minimum price tag.

    I know rim is charging for licensing and to get on the app store so you probably won't see too many free apps since it won't be free for the developer to put it up. Normally then, they would just charge a small amount to make the money back but it's a $2.99 minimum for paid apps. I guess we'll have to keep our fingers crossed and see.
