Hey guys, so I've been experiencing the dreaded memory leak lately and as a result I have been deleting all unnecessary apps to try to get to the bottom of it. Here's the deal as short as possible:
After upgrading to OS 5.0 within the past week I installed App World to download a couple apps. Not long after, I noticed that App World was no longer ANYWHERE to be found on my Storm. It wasn't in any of the Applications lists (under Options) nor was the icon anywhere. When I went to Applications Center it showed BB App World as Uninstalled. So I re-installed it so that I could download another app I was wanting. Now, I have not used it since (a couple days ago).
Now, I noticed this memory leak going on in the past day or so. I just went to uninstall App World to try to free up some memory... and yet AGAIN, it is nowhere to be found. It is not in the Applications lists nor is it anywhere else on my phone. I already deleted Applications Center so I cannot check to see if it says "Installed" or "Uninstalled", but I am quite certain it would probably say Uninstalled.
I also just noticed, now when I goto Files > File Folders > Device Memory > BlackBerry... app world has a folder there and if I keep clicking through it brings me to the list of applications that I downloaded off app world. This is really weird, because I cannot find App World anywhere else on my phone... but it is still installed like I thought!
Anyone know what the heck is going on here and why App World keeps disappearing from my phone but the directory containing all my downloaded apps is still there? I just deleted the directory, but am still concerned that App World is on my phone. Talk about weird.
