I've had my 9900 for a few months now, and I love almost everything about it, except for the fact that I'm forced to do a hard reset once per day because my storage memory keeps depleting. I've tried everything, even running no third party apps, and nothing helps Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? I thought it may be social feeds or fb or something storing updates/pics on the phone's app storage memory, but sometimes, it happens without using the phone at all. Before bed I might have X storage memory, and when I wake up, it's X-50mb I've tried turning off google sync to no avail. I have no other programs that update regularly, except fb, and twitter, and their updates dont seem to affect storage memory at all. My OS version is .261, has anyone had this issue and resolved it by updating to a newer build?

Try updating your OS as .261 is very old, and losing 50MB overnight is not right... I get upset if I lose 1MB over a week!

26 hours in after downgrading back to .540 from the 7.1 leak, with heavy usage today... and only 0.4MB memory loss.

Phill why did you downgraded to .540? was it still too buggy?
Yeah .74 was a very old build (I believe .130 is currently in testing), and I have no real need for the new features OS7.1 brings.

My carrier doesn't support wifi calling, and for me mobile hotspot was just a gimmick as I have nothing to tether.

Glad I tried it, but .540 is a very stable build and will do for me until 7.1 officially releases.

What about ram memory? Is it normal to loose 100mb in two days?

No matter what build I use or what apps I have installed.

Enable auto memory cleaning when idle.

Clear your browser cache when you're done, and as Atakan said above, enable memory cleaning when idle.

I have memory cleaner set at every 2 min and I clear my browser and event log every day. And I reboot couple times a day.

Don't you guys notice that the browsers memory never is returned and it adds up in the system memory section.

what OS are you running? i had this problem on the .474 leak though.
i am now using .503, have been using .540 for some days too and no leaks.
and i use meterberry too, and have 1 hour auto-recovery enabled on it.
but i don't know if it does matter, but it works for me.

I have a 9930 so I can't use those builds. Started with .254, .362 and know on .374. They all did this.

I'm at a loss then... maybe it's an app causing the leakage?

FYI the Event Log is only a 400kb file, which is a mere drop in the ocean on newer berries. As soon as you clear the log, it doesn't take long to fill again, but it will never exceed 400kb in size.

Try this, go into your application management and look at the memory usage for the browser, does it show 50 mb or more and you could have sworn you closed the browser, right?

This will only give you that result if you have used the browser since its last reboot.

Nope, mine always returns as you can see from my previous screen shot.

I'm a very heavy browser user (on it now) and within a few minutes of clearing my cache, the memory is back.

I don't see a screenshot of the application management app.

Can you post that as well?

With you recovery off after you have used the browser and cleared the cache?

Just for kicks I cleared my cache and I gained around 10mb. I was around 50mb and know its around 40 mb.

    I don't get it.

However what I have noticed is that if you disable javascript the browser uses very little memory.

Hank, we are talking about Application Storage Memory here, not memory usage... 2 completely different things.

One is how much memory the browser App is using at any one time, the other is how much storage memory it's actually losing.

The system memory was at around 300 this morning. Isn't that a memory leak?

Every time I swipe to another screen I see the system memory usage increasing, its crazy.
