On my laptop when I hover over the battery icon I see the percent left in the battery and the time remaining.

Very handy!

I think the time remaining adjuts based on what programs I have running, whether I'm using wifi and other factors.

Can a BlackBerry app like that be made?

yeah they give time remaining, but not sure also the time remaining when you adjust wifi and the other factors.
though i never looked into it, my mommy grabbed my phone yet again for 2night.

I've never used MeterBerry, but I know BatteryEx does. I can't check it right now, but IIRC you have a choice of time or percentage, not both at the same time.

There used to be some key sequence you could use to change the signal to %, but I don't remember if that changed the battery also, or what the sequence was.

I'd like that too-showing percent instead of a graphic.

On my OS6 device I'm using a theme that does just that.
