    I think a great app would to have a task manager where you can check which apps are running and turn em off at will.

    yes but then you must manually open each program to close it, it should be more like an on/off type key when you highlight the app

    I don't think it's possible to access other 3rd party apps and close them.

    Actually I'm like 99% sure it isn't.

    The easiest way is to hold the menu key to open the app switcher then click on a program and hold the back button down this will close the program.
