Could someone make an app that allows you to search for lyrics by band song etc? I would love this app and I imagine others would too.

Sometimes I'm already using the browser for something else and I also think a dedicated app would be nice. The same thing could be said for something like yellowpages.
In reference to why not use google ^^^
