    We have quite a powerful light on our storms... I wish we coulld push a button and make it go on so it could be used as a flashlight at times...

    It's not possible to control the LED light. Only RIM has that option to control it. You do have two optnios however;

    1. Just use your video recorder this will turn your led on
    2. You can use a flashligh app that turns the brightness up on your screen and use that

    yep, i have a button to turn on the video camera, and I set the flash to always be on. Sure it uses the battery, but how often do you need a flashlight for a LONG time?

    1. Get Quicklaunch
    2. Add video recorder to QL
    3. rename to "Flashlight"

    Done.

    question about that. I had a trial for an app, I forgot the name, but it had the ability to change the LED colors like it was a "disco" party theme.

    it also worked on trackball leds, so is that entirely true?
