i know there is several flash light apps out there, but it would be very cool i there was one that used the video light from the video camera.

if there is one already out there somewhere, please post!

    Thanks!

You mean BESIDES the Video Camera?

Just set the light to be always on when the Vid Cam is in use and put a shortcut to the Vid Cam somewhere conveinent (I use Quick Launch).

No, Quicklaunch isn't free. It's $5, but well worth the money. There's no way for 3rd party developers to control the light on the video camera, so either do what nightfishing said or just get one of the other flashlight apps, which work great. I mean the Storm screen is REALLY bright at 100%.

Crackberry also carries an app called Blight that uses the video light.
It is $3.99 and reviews say much better than the other app that is a flashlight/mirror combo.

It's not possible to use the camera light, other then opening up your video camera.

Developers used to have access to the led light but they no longer do on 4.7 os

Didn't developers used to be able to turn on the flash led on other Blackberry devices?

I think dmglakewood meant the camera light, not the LED light

A developer was never able to handle the camera light. No OS yet, but I somehow feel more APIs coming very soon ;-)!

Ohh, good to know. I thought I read somewhere that older OS's were able to access the camera led. =)

Are you the developer if the BLight app, trying to purposely mislead people by claiming it does something it doesn't? Because, it doesn't do that.
