Hey App developers!

if you could create an app that would allow 2 settings for the right/left side convenience keys. that would be awsome.

Settings would be:

1. Normal
2. In Call

Your normal convenience keys could be
Left = browser
right = camera

and your In call convenience keys could be
left = speakerphone toggle
right = address book

This app would be incredibly beneficial to stormslider users! because when your in a call and your screen is locked, you do not want to unlock it to change a quick setting!

That is an interesting thought but not sure how they would be able to manipulate the phone to do so. That would be I think similar to fully overriding the lock button would it not?

How about someone make something with the option to hold.

Right click shortcut
Right hold shortcut
Left click shortcut
Left hold shortcut

I remember my 6700 had this. VERYY convinent

I think its possible just set both keys to the 3rd party app then configure settings inside the 3rd party app.

You could even set it to:
Press
Hold
Double click
Triple click

Windows Mobile had an app like this AEbuttonPlus. It was awsome.

I think this would be a great idea. Setting up a press or hold function for the convenience keys would give you 2 valuable new options to launch apps and such. Somebody take a look into this. Maybe DMG?
