I tried to download the program to install applications and it will not let me because I am on a Mac and it indicates I need IE, though it is not even available for Mac.

    1. Do you need this program installed on your computer or on your BB in order to get apps?

    2. Is there another way to get apps without having to install the application on my computer?

    Thanks.

    1. sometimes

    2. many ways.
    a) many apps have what's called OTA (Over the Air) download capability.
    b) checkout App World or the Crackberry App Store to download right from them
    c) checkout the Mac Users Forums, cause people in there know your problem better than we as the general users will know.

    good luck.

    Hi everyone,

Is spyware or viruses an issue with apps on the BB? Is there generally a way to determine if an app is safe for being installed or not?

    Thanks for the responses!

There are no known viruses that affect the BB. However, a virus can be transported into your computer via the SD card if used as a thumb drive
