Why can't you just press Menu/Close?

Press and hold the menu key to show which apps are running, and as above, menu > exit/close to shut em down...
You'll always have 5 running regardless: BBM, Messages, Homescreen, Browser and Phone.

If you DO exit the apps correctly after using them, and still find your battery die in 2 hours, then it is not an app killer you need, but a new battery :-)

Some apps are just bad builds and will still kill your battery even if you have them closed.

You can manually kill apps using the escreen.
As long as they're not running in the escreen they can't affect your battery life.

My battery drained once when streaming with the gps active. If your not running an app the requires it, shut it off.
