I went back from .85 to .75 and now my APP Center is gone. Any ideas how to get it back? Should I reload .75 again? I tried going into the Desktop Manager and it doesn't seem to be anywhere on there to get it back on the device.
Go into the email setup icon on the device>Menu>Send service books. Wait anywhere from 1 to 20 minutes and it should auto-populate, as it's service book related.
Who cares? App Center sucks right now.. jk, well right now it does, it will be SHWEET when its all up and going! I ran into this problem too, I did what CX said, it all came back, and my Storm was all back to normal!
I encountered a similar error that still isn't fixed. I was watching a movie and I received a phone call and the phone locked up. So I pull the battery and it resets...and deletes everything any apps I dled contacts et cetera. So I sync it thinkin well this has to work well all the icons came back but app center won't connect to the server. Should I reload the os? And has anyone else gotten this error?

A similar thing happened to me. I lost maps, games, bb messenger, browser, and the app center. After a day of frustration, I realized they can easily be reinstalled through Blackberry Manager.
1. Application Loader
2. Add Remove Applications
3. Check mark the desired programs you want back
4. "Next" then "finish"
I have this problem after doing a wipe and installing .86. I did a battery pull, and that didn't work so I went to DM-->Apploader-->Add but none of those things are in there.
You probably have a bad installation of the OS. Remove the OS from your computer and restart. Now reload the OS back onto your computer and open DM when prompted. Connect your storm to the computer and enter the app loader. Then just load the apps that you are missing.

I was having the same issue as you. If anyone else is having this issue try this before you reload your OS. On your computer, go to the folder where your vendor file is located. In that same folder, you should find a file called apploader.exe. Plug in your BB and execute that file. Check all the apps that are missing.
I've been missing my app center for quite some time now, and would kinda like it back. I've tried resending service books, host routing table, *228, multiple battery pulls, and nothing. I decided to try reloading it through DM, but it's not there either. I tried running the loader.exe file, but it doesn't list it under that either. This is really starting to aggravate me! Any ideas?? I'm running .99 and it's been gone since around my first OS upgrade. Thanks!

I hope this solves your problem as well.
Dude, you are officially my new best friend. Thanks a bunch!
I am, however, really looking forward to the RIM App Center!!
Anyway, go into app loader, select add/remove apps, select the app center, click on next (I think it's next, not looking at it, could be okay) and you should be good...

The app center that we have on our BB is the RIM app center. What you are probably waiting for is the app store that is targeted for release next month.
