    so it wasn't a prob for a while but just today my app center app is always running in background....i disabled auto refresh and manually close out...did a soft reset...nothing works.

    A) is this a big deal

    B ) how can i fix this?

    I don't think you can shut it off.. I can't seem to find the setting but I think the first time I launched it. It asked if I wanted it to auto check for updates or something in those lines... I clicked yes I think this is the reason that it stays running... however I am unable to find anything on the phone that disables that feature...

    This may be the reason however I am unable to find out.

    It could just be that verizon wanted it programmed in that way..

    I think it remains running because it does check for updates for items on the phone automatically. I've never been able to completely shut it off either.
