PS to Bill and others. The application itself works fine as an Android Port/ Conversion. The issue is the token generator. Especially for Enterprise users. These are 64 bit encrypted and secured tokens. The generator needs to be updated. BBRY should have given all the resources and personnel necessary for availabilty at launch. But given that a High Availability Enviroment for Enterprise wasn't available at even US launch....

May as well spell out the end of Blackberry!

    RSA Bulletin
    January 2013
Thanks for your inquiry. A SecurID authenticator for BlackBerry 10 is not yet a committed project on our 2013 Roadmap. We are jointly working with BlackBerry in evaluating our options to support the BB10 platform. Before the end of Q1 2013, we’ll have a committed plan to share with our customers.
Could you please provide feedback on the following?
    1. Current number of global employees utilizing blackberry handsets and SecurID software tokens?
    2. Beyond blackberry, how many and of what other Mobile OS type of handsets do you allow in your environment today?
    3. Number of expected employees to be utilizing BB10 handsets in 2013/2014?
    4. What Authentication Manager platform are you running today?
    5. Which RSA SecurID and BES integration policies does your company utilize?
    6. Do you specifically rely on SPH (seed provisioning helper) for your delivery model today?
    7. Does your company have near-term plans to migrate to the new Authentication Manager 8.0 platform?

-have a working personal wifi connection, or provisioned personal app enabled work wifi connection.
    -reboot
    -side load RSA app
    -reboot it again.
-browse a web page from the personal browser...
    -start the RSA app.

in BDS make sure "Work Network Usage for Personal Apps" is not set to deny.
In Balance on your BB, make sure "Allow Personal Apps to Use Work Networks" is set to On.
After few wiping and 10.1 upgrade I had finally encounter this "turn wifi message" after installing RSA app.

And this steps works well to avoid this message. Thanks !

So, I just successfully completed this myself (yay!). A few observations:

    1) I wasn't clear exactly where the sdtid file was supposed to go. I wound up putting it in a folder in the device memory.
    2) The command line thing is performed from your PC. That may sound incredibly obvious, but it took me a little time to figure it out. Copy the Token Converter and its required .dll to the folder on your device where that sdtid file sits.
    3) That resulting URI path is a pain, but it's not the end of the world, either.

Yes you need to request an Android token vs a BB one or convert the BB token to an Android.

Yes you have to actually use a massive android token string. Your string is missing that part. The string actually contains the token in it. Create a SdTID file as usual then the following.

Run token Converter to change to android type (note this is because the app as actually an android port)
    - eg. TokenConverter.exe username_000119201496.sdtid -android

Take resulting output and email to user on an email address that can be accessed by their personal profile (for easier cut and paste)
    - eg. "http://127.0.0.1/securid/ctf?ctfData=20001192014999999960717125636512277413 0359999999999999999999999"

    open the secureID app
swipe down to get menu and select 3 dots
    Choose import token
paste the string from the email such as "http://127.0.0.1/securid/ctf?ctfData=20001192014999999960717125636512277413 0359999999999999999999999"

When using the RSA token on a Z10, treat it as an android device.

HOWEVER - when asked to provide the serial number or Device ID, do the following:

    1) Launch the RSA app.
    2) Swipe down from the top, a bar will appear at the bottom of the app (I know, right).
    3) Tap the icon consisting of three vertical dots. Icons will appear at the top.
    4) Tap the "about" icon. A device ID will be shown
    5) Tap the "email" icon and you can send that device ID to your administrator.

Your administrator will then treat this as an ANDROID device, and reply back with a URL that looks like "h ttp://127.0.0.1/securid/ctf?ctfData=0000000000000000000000000"

When you receive this from your administrator copy the string and do the following:

    1) launch the RSA app again.
    2) swipe down from the top to reveal the bar at the bottom.
    3) tap the three dots
    4) select "import token"
    5) tap and hold in the white space until an option to paste appears. Paste the URL
    6) Tap import.

If you get an error stating that the token is not intended for this device, check my instructions again and ensure the administrator used the Device ID from my instructions at the top of this post.

    You're welcome

FYI, here is the official answer I got from RSA (May 2013)

While we recognize the Blackberry 10 software token application is an important requirement for many of our RSA SecurID customers, we continue to explore the best way of achieving this and the most expedient means to deliver this feature. Please note that at this time we have not entered into an agreement with Blackberry and we do not have a definitive timeframe for delivery of a Blackberry 10 software token application.

Clearly a show stopper for companies that rely on software token deployed on the corporate devices.

It's not impossible. I have it on my own BYOD device.

So, I just had a chat with our RSA sales rep (I don't usually deal with these guys but everyone else on the team was conveniently out of the office). As soon as I said "BB10" he went "Yeaaaah", like I wasn't the first one who's brought it up with him.

He said he wasn't sure what the hold up was (he thought it might be a "legal issue"... wtf?), but that he expected it out for summer.

Hi guys, its June now and I'm still wondering why we have not the RSA available in the BB world which allows end-user to use it? I would like to try the work around I have seen here but its annoying. Z10 is a business phone and this should be an easy one unless some major big players like BB and EMC (RSA) still dealing on fincanical figures to get this done. Does anyone has more thoughts or updates where we are with that?

Of course its not impossible, like to connect a DOS 6.x to Win 7. Its more the question how much effort the current community have to take to get such an easy one on BB10. I agree what you mentioned before that there must be some financial or legal reasons why Blackberry and EMC havent agreed to get this done. Worse for Blackberry and customers who want to jump on BB10 with RSA ;-)

I can only guess at why the delay. Maybe they originally thought of porting android but then realized some of the caveats. 1). Have to create android tokens which might not sit well with them 2) can't push rsa to work profile since not a native app. I hope extra wait means native app is coming. They also need to test with various versions of Auth manager in a number of use cases with soft tokens that were issued at various times, with and without copy protection, pins no pins etc fun fun. They now have adaptive Auth too in version 8.

They could deliver a beta version that we could push from BES10. That would solve our issue.

Their forum is so silent about this... https://community.emc.com/community/...rid_blackberry

On what BES 10 version? My US folks who are managing my BES 10 server are still waiting for the 10.1 release while I'm on 10.1 in Germany since 5 weeks. Looks that there is still not enough focus on that.
