I just got another Curve yesterday and when I went to download Opera Mini I noticed that it had been updated. At first I was excited by the new look and tabbed browsing, but I was soon highly disappointed at how jumpy the navigation is and a noticeable difference in speed.

Anyone know if older versions are available anywhere for OTA?

Yeah, OM 5 isn't all that great on my 8330. It looks "nice", but it seems laggy. The cursor moves too slow and doesn't handle full websites as good as Bolt.

Bolt UI leaves a lot to be desired, but the functionality is better. However, lately its been a tad buggy for me. I'm running on the new 2.1 update.

Seriously bolts the way to go. No its not as pretty but I'm someone who prefers function over form and bolt just works better

Opera Mini 4 is still available from their website.
    Go to m.opera.com
After being taken to the page where you're able to download Opera Mini, simply scroll down and select the link "Other download options"
After the next page has loaded, select "Opera Mini 4 for BlackBerry"

I continue to use Opera Mini 4 for my Curve. It runs better than version 5.

Hated Opera mini 5. Was way too slow and jumpy. Deleted it after only trying it a few times.

I royally hate it when people say that.
I tried multiple times to do it.
    It doesn't freaking work.
When I click it, it takes me to a page where I can choose like, other things but it never let's me.
    Please test it.
If it works then troll on me.

I have found bolt to be better and faster, it has tabs too. I removed opera and am not looking back.

I used Opera 5 for half a day then went back to 4.2. It was laggy and slow. When I upgrade, in the future, I will try again. I liked the tabs idea.

I couldn't get it to work either which is why I posted this thread. I have just been using the Blackberry Browser for now. I tried Bolt but I am not a fan.

    Yay.
    Finally someone that understands me.
However. You can download it if you just download it from their site. VIA COMPUTER.
You then have to load it with BBSAK or app loader.

BBSAK is easier so I used that.

I use bolt. It grows on you. Opera was great. But a shame it doesn't work well on our phones.
