Title says it. I got the LinkedIn app, but I don't really want it always running in the background. Anyone know how/if I can shut it down?
    Thanks

No you can't shut it down at all... Main reason why I immediately de-installed it.

I honestly believe the mobile site is better than the App.

I'm not really finding a battery or memory problem because of this app on my Storm 2.

my 9780 is already heavy with the standard program running without any of the social programs, this linkedin program is just makes it worse. I delete it straightaway.

When LinkedIn released the last update for their BB app, they acknowledged that this was a very common complaint. They said they were now planning on addressing it with a subsequent update: however, it's already months later and no update is anywhere to be seen…

I am waiting for the update for OS7 and have emailed them a few times for an update but no news.

I would like this as I found the mobile site address to just go to the full site on my 9900.

What is the official mobile site if anyone knows?

There are too many apps that perform that way. They load at startup and are just there - either in the ribbon or if you check the engineering screen - running in the background.

The mobile site for a touchscreen device is supposed to be:
    LinkedIn

When I try it from my Torch's browser, it appears to be the full site still, so who knows...

I don't like how this app stays opened all the time like many of you, I clicked on that mobile link and saw it was the full site so I decided to modify the website link the same way other mobile websites act
Which gives : LinkedIn ...then it lead to what some of you wanted

    LinkedIn

That's the correct mobile login page. Enjoy!

Edit: Then again I'd like to know if after login into it, does it even work lol?

I can't seem to do anything after logging in....this kind of suck now...oh well
