Its awesome!!....give it a shot. If you purchase another phone that runs google sync, you'll be able to download your contacts on the fly!! Pretty handy I think.

i used google sync and it screwed up my contacts. Meaning I have some contact where I put everything in the FirstName box i.e. John (programmer)
google went ahead and separated everything so FirstName: John LastName: (programmer)

i stopped using google sync and restored my contacts from my BB Desktop. back to the way i want them

I had it installed as well, I think is pretty cool app you just have to be careful. One day I decided that I wanted to edit all my contacts in gmail and removed them all. When I did the sync from my phone it removed all the contacts from my phone as well...I was so mad.

I love using GoogleSync to sync my calendar as well as my contacts... that was quickest and easiest way to load my 8900 when I first got it... in a minute or two I had my entire contact list loaded and all my current calendar events (within my date range of course)... fantastic app... don't know where I would have been without it.

I just got TMobile 8900 and transferred all data and apps from my old Pearl. No GoogleSync will sync calendar but not contacts -- fails about 1/5 of way through process. Have reloaded Sync app with same results. Any suggestions?

I tried it yesterday and was able to sync all my contacts OTA pretty easily. At one point, there was some server problems, but I just waited awhile and it worked again.
