Thanks for the info....D/L now...Every phone that I've owned would show the area code/state that the call was coming from...The person who took it off the market should have just patented it and made it available for us to purchase...I know I would have bought it...You never know how useful a program is until it is gone..
Well technically Berryacode is not available anymore. So people who don't already have it may have a hard time finding it. Also, since berryacode is now longer being developed it may not work with OS 4.5.
Here's a new version that I wrote myself. You can update the area codes by using a text file which is optional. It has all North American area codes embedded but you can make your own names up in the text file to override the embedded ones. It takes up all of 32kbytes.
For the time it took, I'm trying to get $10 for my beer fund. Cheap if you ask me.

I had berryacode from the beginning, it works perfectly on 4.5 - if anyone wants to know.
Hello everyone. I have a new version of my incoming call areacode lookup program. If a call is not in your addressbook, it tells you what city and state the call is coming from. You can also add a simple textfile that overrides the built in names so you can do updates yourself. It also allows you to do the lookup numbers ranging from 3 digits all the way to the full number. See below. I'm just asking for $10 if you like it to support my beer fund.

Can you explain what you want to record? Time of the call? Actual voice conversation?...
the actual voice conversation with both sides of the conversation.....and name the voice file accordingly with a time/date stamp...it hasn't been done before on the blackberry....if you could somehow make this program...i can guarantee you that you will have many, many paying customers
Treo had a program called callrec...see if you can try to emulate that in any manner
Not sure if this would work but here's how I would test it out. I can try it out in the next few days. I wonder if there's security issues with doing something like this?
You could put this into the callAnswered section:
int returnValue = Audio.recordFile(Audio.AUDIO_CODEC_VOICENOTE, File.FILESYSTEM_PATRIOT, "file name");
And this in the callEnded
int returnValue = Audio.stopFile
(Audio.AUDIO_CODEC_VOICENOTE, File.FILESYSTEM_PATRIOT, "file name");
