    ***Noob Question***

Is there any other way to buy apps on App World besides using PayPal.

I don't know if you have to use PayPal to buy apps on the App World.

    No right now.

    I know. I can't as well.

Let's wait for carrier billing: buy an app, be charged on your carrier's monthly bill. It's coming...

Well, that sucks. I don't even know how to use PayPal and yeah, it's way easier if your carrier just bills you for every app you buy.

You might not know... But not all the countries are allowed to buy apps through AppWorld using Paypal...

Would he really be looking for an alternate solution for a free, well stablished, easy to use service if he (we really) could use it?

I can't purchase from App World either
It says "Payed apps aren't available for you country at this time". Something like that.

Which is stupid from RIM's part. They are simply ignoring a HUGE market. I don't know about Mexico but PayPal has an office in Brasil already and is fully functional (only diff is we pay a R$3 fee to withdraw less that R$250 to the bank. Over R$250 is free. In the US, any withdraw to bank accounts is free).

Let's hope carrier billing comes soon. Or I'll make mobihand rich. And very soon, since they do have DoD and AppWorld doesn't.

Paypal or whatever, users should be rightly concerned with any online 3rd Party provider having a link to your bank account or open-ended credit card.

Meanwhile, some software providers that use the App Store have their own websites and their own direct means of paying them, rather than thru Paypal. Its often worth a little investigation.

I agree with both of you, Bazza1 and Diego. I was a fan of carrier billing, either prepaid or contracts. On my first color screen SE I kept buying and buying and buying games and it was fun! On my iPod touch I at least was able to use iTunes cards when they became available last year. But now? The only option I have is going to the US and buying a Visa prepaid card and see if that works. I've never been a fan of paypal. So, I guess we (the ones who don't use paypal or CCs) will have to wait for carrier billing and/or "BB App World Cards".
