I set the brightness to 10% and it is still too bright for me. I know the brightness can be even lower cuz when my the backlight timeout, it became very dark. So any free apps out there or hack to down the brightness lower than 10%? Thx.

I like my screen pretty dim as well. My advice is to get a mirrored screen protector. I got one, & I actually had to turn my brightness up from 10% to 20% & it's still too dim sometimes so I turn it up even more.

Umm yeah. I think 10% is way too dark. Do you have some super sensitive eyes like Riddick or something... Heck just turn the backlight off.

Now that is overkill, I think. I keep mine down because I DO have sensitive eyes. The battery life is amazing anyway, especially when kept @ 10%. In your case, I agree w/ 8900Freak. Just turn the backlight off.

I would agree that at times 10% is too high... most of the time not, but I could turn it lower and still use it

I agree, I use mine at night with little background lighting and would also like to know if it's possible to dim the light a bit more. I like the mirrored protector idea though.

I'm on board. "10%" brightness is not 10% (assuming 0% = 100% darkness, which it should.) I usually use it at night anyway, I could go WAAAAY dimmer. A developer must see this and create an app with hotkeys. Or put it in QuickLaunch like everything else useful that isn't OEM.

I'm 100% with you that 10% is too bright, and it can go way dimmer and it might save some battery drain as a bonus.

I have mine set to 10% and noticed that when the '' auto dim backlight '' is ON, it gets reduced even more

Who cares if he wants his screen more dim? You don't have to do it. This is a perfectly legit query.

I have been thinkin about this app forever. I have my phone set to 10 in my quicklaunch for when I get in my car. I listen to music so when I switch songs or maps or whatever it lights up my face and the front area. The last thing I need is to get a ticket for "texting while driving' even though I'm doing something to my music or maps.
