Has anyone tried to get the Amazon app on the 9930 lately? I use this all the time, and am really missing it.

Links seem to be dead, or Amazon caught up with the trend and disabled it. Is there any other way of getting it. It was a great tool on my 9700, in fact I ordered a few things from it, why wouldn't they develop or port it over to 7? Obviously it works, it probably just doesn't recognize the OS version.

Fret not - I posted up some reasonable links earlier in this thread. The semester has taken up a bit of my time, but ill try to get something up here before midnight EST.

Thanks ELoXL, it's no rush, whenever you get a chance, it would really be awesome to have it back again.

Almost forgot - this would be a good time to break from studying anyways. I'm using my old Storm 2 to help me in this process.

What I simply do is access the download link from the Amazon site via the browser on the Storm and for convienence purposes I turn it into a tiny URL, and then copy/past onto this forum.

If you have an old BB lying around and is capable of having this app installed then you should be good to go say if the tinyurl link goes dead again.

    Working on it now....brb....

You're great. Thanks a bunch, it works flawlessly. Good luck with the exams.

Weather Bug is also not available for 9930, Which weather app are you all using? Something that's not a resource hog yet will display the temp all the time.. I am going to try Weather Channel app to see if they made any improvement since 9700 version a year ago.. It was buggy!

I'm beginning to ask the question why? Why do they keep shutting this down? I'll tell you that my Amazon purchases have fallen way off since I can't get it on my phone.

I don't think it is a matter of shutting down or not, they probably create a unique ID and that eventually expires. I honestly don't think Amazon is doing this intentionally. They are probably not even aware that 99xx users are suffering because of this, or that older version is even compatible.

I reported it as a problem about 3 weeks ago. I don't really think they give a rip.

I've posted two links up - differentiating may help to remedy the "shut down" for awhile.

    https://mad.amazon.com/download/tEkp2HF6 (tinyurl)

    http://bit.ly/zAtEhZ (bitly - obviously)

Both links should hold up as long as they both get equal attention I suppose (crossing fingers).

    Cheers

If Amazon doesn't give a rip, why does RIM support Amazon MP3 music store and pre-install it on devices? Or is this a carrier thing.. If a carrier thing, I don't get the point since almost all carriers have their own mp3/music store apps on Blackberry.
