How about just bookmarking m.facebook.com into your BB web browser.
(Do not use the www. just the address as shown above)

That might get you through the day. If you like it, then delete the facebook app.

Facebook app works fine for me, snappy performance, but somewhat limited. It links to the mobile FB site, and gives me notifications. I wish apps worked with it, and it's difficult to respond to some types of messages, but otherwise it's not bad.

Opera Mini can actually run Facebook apps. That might be more what you are looking for.

i swear pageonce had facebook... i dunno, i set it up late last night, so i was a bit tired...

No problems with my facebook app...except the HORRIBLE quality of photos uploaded via the app on my BB.
