I'm currently using OZ Messenger and I just read that it uses
text not data. Are there any free apps that uses data instead?
Reason I'm asking is I'm not a heavy text person and I have 200 text
    month plan. Thanks for looking.

Just pay $20 and get Jivetalk (BeeJive :: JiveTalk mobile messenger - instant messaging to go). Its well worth it

Or a free (but not as good as Jivetalk) option.

From Mundu's homepage..I'm guessing they just have not updated the page. as the OS'es don't differ..but at least be aware of it.

Please note that this application supports the following models:
    Blackberry Curve 8300, Curve 8310, Curve 8320, 8800, 8820, 8830, Pearl 8100, Pearl 8110 and Pearl 8120

Ramble IM is free and from my understanding it does not take away from your texts. It isn't the prettiest thing, but free is the key word.

What networks do you talk on? You can download AOL, Yahoo a couple others for free. Also I didn't know that a messenger existed that uses SMS versus data. That seems crazy to me. Some other person was asking if an IM client existed that used Txt and not data.
