I'm looking for a free agenda/day planner application.

I am a new user as well and curious about what other BB owners use for day planning. I was considering using Google calendars and use that to sync to Outlook on the laptop.
I currently use Franklin Covey paper planners {and will continue} but not sure if I like their software offerings; OP, you might want to view their applications and they do work with BB. I have never used a phone to manage daily agenda's so this will be a process find an application that will work well.
BB Calendar does just that. Just like you guys, I to am wondering what apps people use for this feature that you seek.
EDIT: Did a quick search and found this:

I use BlackBerry Calendar exclusively. I wonder what functions you all are looking for that are missing in the native Calendar app? It works just fine for me. YMMV.

I use Agendus - it is not free but it is the best program I have found for planning my business and social life. Support is great check out iambic - mobile phone software solutions for Palm, Treo, Pocket PC, Windows Mobile, Smartphone, Symbian, BlackBerry and Microsoft Outlook it might also be available here on Crackberry I am not sure
Pocket Informant is a great PIM replacement application. Unfortunately, it is not free.
If you are more task oriented, look into ToDo Matrix. It is expensive but it is the best task manager there is for BB, in my opinion.
I agree BB calendar seems pretty efficiant and does it all for me! Best part.........it's FREE!
Would like to be able to color code different events so that a quick look at my calendar I can see if events involve family or work etc without having to open the day. Something like the Plam has now.
look at papyrus which is now sbsh calendar......which is free for now.
Do you have a link for this and is it compatible with the Storm?
Don't know, but here is the link
Software for BlackBerry: Calendar Pro: Description - SBSH Mobile Software
Wish there was ota for this.
.
BlackBerry calendar does this but only if you are willing to associate different events with different email accounts.

which can be good, but I don't like this setup at all!
just deleted calendar pro....didn't like it.
Gee, if I didn't know any better I'd swear you were me :). I do exactly what you describe. I sync my Outlook with Google calendars. Then when I enter anything on my BB9000, and it syncs to Outlook, it will upload to Google. One thing I just discovered is I downloaded the Google Calender Sync app to my BB to make a direct sync, however, it appears that it's not a true sync. it only downloads the Google appointments to the BB. it does not upload. So I will continue my BB to Outlook to Google system.
BTW - Smart move keeping your paper planner. I continue to use mine if for no other reason than to have a hard copy of all my business appointments & mileage logs for tax reasons.
For ToDo lists/tasks, I use a mix of BB Calendar with a free app called "got-2-do". They sync together, too. It's free and I love it. Not a calendar though; just daily tasks.
I tried both Calendar Pro and a trial of Agendus...
Calendar Pro was not too bad, but I like the way Agendus looks better.
I'm loving Agendus so far! I like that you can see your tasks, contacts, notes, and recent emails in this application, so you don't have to switch applications to send a text or make a call for example. Considering paying for this app.
I'm downloading the Pocket Informant trial now.
Is Agendus as fast as the stock calendar or Calendar Pro? Meaning it doesn't have to sync databases like Pocket Informant does?
SBSH Calendar Pro v.1.0.2 update is available!
This update solves controls and font size issue.
Recently upgraded to Franklin Covey PlanPlus v7--having trouble sorting tasks, deleting old events from Outlook, etc. Not sure I'm going to keep it. Not User manual, Live Chat doesn't provide fixes.
