Happy Thanksgiving! My BB 8900 is broken - it boots up, connects to the computer but the phone will not respond to the keyboard or track ball - then goes blank - even after reinstalling the os. So, I think I'm ready to take the plunge and upgrade to the 9900 - with great fear and trepidation! [bricking issues? Really?] I have just downloaded the free apps from AppWorld and am wondering if I can easily switch them all to the new BB9900. Is is best to use Desktop Manager? BB Protect? I'm wondering if any of these apps is responsible for messing up my phone? [Actually, I suspect it's a hardware problem.] ps - been a blackberry user for 7 years on T-Mobile. First phone was a track-wheel! My wife's 8820 is still going strong! Thanks!

I had the 8900 and an now using the 9900 and most of the apps will make the transition. When you do the device switch you'll find which ones will make it over to the 9900.
