Compare the difference between the 2 models.
    9810: 8GB on-board memory
    9800: 512 MB on-board memory

I know it looks strange as we all knew that the 8 GB is a normal internal memory as the 4GB one on the 9800 but according to the site it doesn't look the same.

    This is what blackberry.com says:

    9810
    8 GB onboard memory
    768 MB RAM
Not sure whats strange about that...

Yes I know but the 9800 is showsing the 512MB as on-board memory not RAM, while the 9810 is showing 768 as independent RAM and 8GB as on-board memory

is the new OS able to store apps on normal memories not RAMs? I read before here that this is not yet possible.

But i have seen a shot of the 9810 running Need for speed shift which must be 100MB+ how will they store it on a 768MB RAM only? thats why I am thinking the 8GB memory will be used for apps!

The 8GB is for media storage, not app storage

Apps/Games can store their resource files on the larger on board storage.

Then how can Need for speed shift be installed on it then? UnderCover is about 300+MB on PlayBook.

Then yes I think that's the case or something as Need for speed will never be possible to get installed.

In one of the crackberry videos from that bb7 fan night thing one of the people from Rim confirmed that application content could be stored on the built-in memory and not just in the app memory part.

The obvious next question would be how easy is it for app developers to update their apps to take this option, os7 updates to all the apps people are running at the moment could save a fair amount of space even if individually they don't need to move much onto there, it would all add up.

Other than pics and videos - can "items" that have used up RAM or "on-board" memory also be put on the SD card under OS7?

I hope, that apps can be stored on SD Card and On-Board memory and only the very important AND light data be stored on App Memory (RAM).
