hi this is my first post on this forum...

anyway, i recently upgraded my OS on my BB Curve for tmobile to 4.5....everything works except for my AIM. it says "Service not enabled for this handheld"

any suggestions?

You may need to uninstall it and then re-install the app!

I personally do not use AIM on my TMo Curve, so I am not sure if it is functioning properly with OS 4.5 or not. Sorry I could not help more.

You will have to downgrade to the older version of AIM.

This has been covered before. It wont work because the OS you upgraded to AIM doesnt work for your phone. BUT, the .44 upgrade for AIM 2.0 works PERFECTLY :-)

Differences?
Never been on old aim, but I do know that you can have ALL your buddylist and transfer files (and yes, even full mp3s to one another).

google aim 2.0 for the 8320's. it works..

www.blackberry.com/aim just make sure you don't click on the aim 2.0 link, otherwise you be fine for the downgrade.

I actually got 2.0 to work on OS 4.5.0.44 and it works like a charm. my problem was i didn't reboot after the install.

Did you make sure you restarted your phone after the install?

I didnt know the 4.5 os came out already because when i look on the tmo side they dont have the upgrade

Yeah its still in Beta, but hopefully soon they give us an official release cuz i love 4.5 over 4.2.
and I haven't experienced any lag, i get all my messages within seconds as if I was on a computer doing it.
