Has anyone tried to backup and restore Apps based on the above instructions.

I've been able to create the .alx file, but when I try to restore it tells me there are no apps available in the file.

After more investigation it appers that This method doesn't actually back the apps. All it does is create a list of apps in the alx file. The restore assumes that the corresponding apps alx's and CODs are in the same folder.

It uses the newly created file as a guide to which apps to load. If you do not have the CODs then nothing will work.

if done correctly, it creates the alx and will also have all of the cods in the folder too

When I backed up this weekend, there were 2 alx files. One in the folder and one separate. I had to use the one in the folder.
