    Hi

I have to do a total cleaning of memory

but I think slicktasks and visual voicemail are killing me.

How do I go thru th emenu and shut down apps I am not using>?

how can I see what apps are running?

I have cleared the event log, and the browerser cache

anything else to quick fix this>? what would be the next "big" cleanup action.....to get back something, and stop the spining dail

    thanks

To see what apps are running press and hold the BlackBerry button. You should only see BlackBerry Messenger, Phone, Home, Browser, Messages, and Visual Voicemail (if you have VVM installed). Make sure you properly close apps by going to exit in the menu, rather than just using the back arrow which keeps them running in the background.

Then follow the steps in this thread.

    VVM cannot be closed.

If you don't delete your messages, the BlackBerry will delete them on its own once your memory gets too low.

You can save your messages when you do backups using Desktop Manager.

Do you have a memory card on the phone? If you don't, photos or videos or whatever by default will be loaded to your device memory...
