    Hi All,
Today is my second day with my Blackberry Bold 9700, I havent used Blackberry in my life.
After using Android for about 2yrs now, wanted to try Blackberry so bought the BB BOLD 9700.
I know what you are thinking, why that old one. Even Im not sure, but I really like the looks of the old ones compared to the new ones. (My opinion ;P)
Now after buying it I wanted to import my contacts from an android phone, but I didnt know how. I searched on the internet but no use, couldnt find anything.
Somehow I figured it out, its a lengthy process..but Im sure its lot better than entering hundreds of contacts manually. We will need MS Outlook mail client.
    How we do it..
If you already have your contacts exported as *.CSV file, then skip to Step 2.
Mostly everyone use the cloud to store their data, including contacts (Google Account).
So assuming that we have the contacts backed up on the Google could we will proceed.

    1> Exporting Contacts

Login to Gmail and click on the dropdown menu on the left hand top corner and select Contacts

Now click on the More button and select Export.

When you click on the export button, you will get a new window, select type of contacts you want to export (eg. All or category etc.)
Then select the second option for Format, the one shown in the pic.

Then click on Export, and it ask you the location to save it. Save it on your computers local drive.

2> Importing the contacts to Outlook mail client

Now we will be using Outlook mail client. I happen to have Outlook 2013 and will show you accordingly.
But if you are on older version like 2010/2007, please find how to import contacts (sorry, dont have It installed).
Click on File and then Open & Export then Import/Export.

Select the option shown in the below image. Click Next.

Now browse and select the *.CSV file which we have saved. Select the option you prefer and click on Next.

Select Contacts from the list and then click on Next.

Make sure that the below box is checked and click on Finish.

Now Click on Contacts (2007/2010) or People in case of Outlook 2013.

And you should be able to see your contacts in outlook.

3> Synchronizing with Blackberry phone using the Blackberry Desktop Manager.

Open BB Desktop Manger and click on the Organizer tab, and check Contacts and click on Configure.

In the new window please select the options as given in the below pic and click on OK.

Post that click on the Sync Organizer at the bottom right hand corner of the BB D Manager.

Once its complete you should have your contacts on your phone.

I know that its a pretty big procedure and someone might have an easy one.
If someone have it then please post it, it would help the new BB users like me.

    Thanks for reading,
    Photocto.
